removing applications

i just used migration assistant to move everything from my ppc g5 to my new mac pro. unfortunately, i didn't want 'everything' moved over. how can i safely remove applications that i don't want anymore? do i just trash them? thanks!

mac pro, Mac OS X (10.5.4)

Yes - for some - drag and drop means send to trash is all ... backup and clone BEFORE making changes.

And yes, migrating apps from PPC to Intel has some risk. And no mechanism other than TimeMachine or other backup that was in place ahead of time?

Programs that use installers should be installed. Those that don't obviously have little risk and don't put things into the system libraries, just drag and drop uninstall.
