Preset EQ settings on songs in iTunes will be transferred to the iPod.
If the iPod EQ is set to Off, it will not use any EQ settings, even one assigned to song.
You need to set the EQ on the iPod to Flat.
When songs on the iPod are played, it will be played with the EQ setting on the iPod, unless it has a preset EQ assigned to it, then it will use that setting.
Flat is the same as not having the EQ on but if a song has a preset EQ, it will use that.
Thank you very much Chris,
So let me see if I got it correctly:
IF I really want strong bass from my iPod
1.- I have to go to iTunes and open the EQ interface, turn it ON and turn up the sliders for bass frequencies to my taste (maybe a little more because I will be listening the songs on my iPod right?)
2.- Sync my iPod to the Mac and transfer desired or selected songs which by now, ALL of them, will have applied the EQ in general right?
3.- Once transfered, I open the iPod MUSIC settings and select
FLAT (instead of "bass boost" or any other setting particularly OFF) right?
+Of course I need to use this "extreme" EQ BASS EQ settings on
iTunes just once, prior to sync and transfer the songs to the iPod and afterward I can return to more normal EQ settings when listening to
iTunes on my iMac, right?+
If I understood correctly by now I should be listening to my iPod songs with the EQ settings from my iTunes right?
Thanks
