just tonight when I went to eject my ipod from the computer I noticed that it just shows the grey screen with the apple logo then it flashes a black screen for a second and back to the apple logo it keeps doing that and I can't seem to restart it. I have no idea what to do. I don't even know what happened it was working totally fine earlier today. Also I tried plugging it back in to the computer and it's not even recognizing that it is there. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have alot of stuff on there I'd really rather not lose
I had same thing happened. I sent it into apple who said there was broken glass in the headphone. I thought that was weird. I received the ipod back and they said my warranty was broken. I looked in the head phone jack, there was no glass. I never had any problem with the head phone. It hasn't had a fall or anything. Now I feel like I frozen out of any help. I don't know if they were looking at the wrong ipod or what. I have no idea what to do now. It is so frustrating because I think there might be a software solution. I can install music and uninstall music at itunes. I guess if nothing else it is a still a really crappy flash drive that will only store music and videos. But I am really frustrated. Please let me know if you find anything out.
My ipod was skipping a lot of songs, and crashing and switching off randomly. So I kept having to restart it. Now it won't even switch on, the grey apple logo keeps coming up for hours on end, then it switches itself off again. I've tried to restore it but it switches itself off before the computer can recognise it. I'm so frustrated. >:( This is my 2nd Ipod that I had to buy because of the last one breaking, and according to apple I'm not covered cos I can't find my receipt.
Can anyone help? I'd never in a million years be able to afford a new one or the ridiculous €141 they're looking for repair?? 😟
I dunno if we're allowed to discuss this, but someone suggested to me on a different forum a guy who repairs ipods in the UK on ebay for something like £50...its seems to me to be the best option since Apple don't seem to care they sold us a gammy overpriced product...
just let the battery die and then connect it to the computer or wall adapter to charge the battery. You may have to restore it once you connect it to the computer
