Macbook sata II support?
Does anyone knows if the Intel ICH8-M AHCI supports sata II (3GB/s) disks?
Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.5)
According to Mactracker, only the late 2008 Aluminum Macbooks will use the full 3Gb/s speed of SATA II drives. Other Macbooks support these drives (since the standard is backward-compatible), but will only run them at 1.5Gb/s.
