I am getting Error 5002 when trying to download applications, free or paid, videos or podcast... what is this ? It has been going for two days now. Even if I try to get App Updates from my iPhone, it gives an error too!
Any help greatly appreciated...
MacBook Pro (Late 2008),

Same problem here both on iTunes and on the iPhone, though the iPhone doesn't give the 5002 error. It's been going on for almost a week now and I've searched forums looking for solutions, but none have helped. It does seem like this has been going on for a long time.
I've always had 1-Click enabled and have tried to change to having a Cart instead and then back again. No effect.
I hope Apple realizes that paying customers are getting this error and that they can't pay anymore until this is fixed.
Ah ha! I found another thread with a different solution. Go into your account billing info and check to see if there is a red error at the top. Mine stated that something like "it appears your address is not in the USA". My address was fine, but I retyped in the street address anyway and clicked "Done". I went back in and the error was gone.
Error 5002 is gone now. Hope this works for everyone else.
Yes !!! went into Billing Info and re-selected my State and it works now. It seems like they reviewed the State table list as to include both short and long descriptions, ex, FL - Florida. This fix worked for me. THANKS !!!
I saw the same thing in my billing screen about my address not being in the US (even though it was). I changed it and suddenly apps download again! Problem solved.
Okay... i cant download music, videos, apps. Everytime i try it says the error 5002. I cant fix it. I cant even view my account info. it is very frustrating
But I cannot even go into my account, to fix anything. I am trying to go into my account through the Itunes page, is anywhere else that I can check my account?, i am still getting that error 5002.
