FCP audio in Logic: OMF or XML?

Hello people,

Im working on the latest FCP and Logic. Im about to edit audio for a 10min shortfilm in logic. I exported both an OMF and XML file from FCP...

* My concern in basically which of these two would be the best to work with?
* What is the difference between both of them?
* Can i import to logic FCP´s video timeline from any of these (XML or OMF) or i have to export a separate video clip and then import into logic?
* In other words, is it posible to export a single video file and separate audio clips into Logic through XML or OMF??
* If i make any modification on logic´s timeline will it automatically update audio on FCP´s timeline?

Thanks for any answers...

The difference is that the XML file is just a reference to the original mediafiles - the OMF file consists of all the audio converted to AIFF and the timing reference.
In my experience its way better to use OMF - its easier and Logic refers to sound only instead of the way heavier mediafiles with video in them. If you want to se the film while you do the mix make an offline version of the film in e.g. DV and load that into Logic. I've done that a lot and it works nice 🙂

Hope this helps
