Creating Mail Stationary

Despite the many tutorials I've found with a few google searches, it does not seem a simple process to create mail stationary. Although I use mail to check mail (as it's constructed for), I've never used many of the features.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

For simple stationery templates, where all you want is text and/or pasted graphics, see:

For things more complex such as the templates Apple includes, those are more work and not simple. The most complete explanation I've seen for the process is this one:

with the caveat that you need the information from Apple's developer information to get all the details correct:
