Macbook Themes?

I am new to the apple scene. I have been a PC user all my life, and I was just about to strangle someone using Vista so I bought a macbook....Dang, just the feel of this thing is so much more high class than my previous Dells.....Glad I made the switch.

Question: windows has themes that you can change which changes the overall appearance of windows. Does my macbook have the same ability? And where can I get some?

Macbook Pro 2.4, Mac OS X (10.5.5), 4 gig, 200 gb hd

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions ...

To change the look of windows, go to System Preferences/Appearance. (System Preferences is in your Application folder). There should be a System Preferences icon in your Dock by default. Silver square with a cog inside. You will access your System Preferences panes on occasion, that's why it's in the Dock.

Mac doesn't do the theme routine as Windows, but in the Appearances pane you can change Appearances for buttons, menus, and windows. Also Highlight Color, scrolling, number of Recent Items and Font Smoothing.
