I kind of threw up on my laptop..

So anyways, now the keyboard doesn't work right. I cant se apostrophes, the 4 bttons fro m to 7 dont work, the right coand btton doesnt work, and things pop up when I click m (another window and the bookarks tab thing). Soeties 4 or so letters coe up when I click one (bcvxzn)

What wold the best way to go abot fixing this be? Also, if I cant do it yself, how expensive will it be to fix?

Sorry abot the typing, I only copy/pasted when it was necessary.

Welcome to Apple Discussions!

You have my sympathy!

First, turn off your Mac and place it with the keyboard on a towel. This should be treated like any other spill. You want any liquid to drain out. You do not want to risk any liquid making its way down to the logic board and causing much greater damage. So the first thing to do is to do your best to limit the damage to the keyboard. Leave your Mac off for at least 7 days.

Next, tell us exactly which Mac you have. You are in the section for the late 2008 MacBook. Is this the one you have? The keyboards are different for the different builds.

I am in the MacBook section by accident, so I don't really have the specific knowledge to help you other than to tell you to turn off your MacBook and wait for further advice. If you want to look at some instructions for fixing it yourself, here is a source:

Use a different computer until yours is fixed. As it stands, you may just need to replace the keyboard or upper case. If the liquid makes it to the logic board, it will be a much more expensive proposition to fix.

Good luck!

It may not be too late. Turn the MB upside down so that the keyboard is resting on a towel so that if there is any remaining liquid, it will drain down by gravity and be soaked up by the towel. Stomach acid is corrosive, and you want to limit the damage as much as possible, as it may not be possible to save anything that it touches. Keep the MB off, and remove the battery so that it can't be turned on accidentally.

The ifixit site will give you instructions on what to do to fix it. Since it is a late 2008 MacBook, you may want to preserve your warranty by paying for the damage to be fixed by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, unfortunately, but it is possible that your homeowner's insurance might. If you paid by credit card, there is also a possibility that your credit card might have a provision for accidental damage.

Good luck!
