Remove a icon from my top menu bar

Hold down Command (Apple key) and drag from the menu bar.

John is correct. And if that doesn't work, just look if it's a standard menubar item. If so, you might find it there: /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/

If it is in there, then you can delete it and reboot.

this means you didn't uninstall that program correctly. It should have come with an uninstaller. you have to use the uninstaller to get rid of it completely.

if you can't find the uninstaller, check your login items in system preferences->accounts. if you find anything related to that program delete it.

If nothing works and the program was installed by the System's Installer then run it again and before doing anything press cmd+i to see what got installed and especially where.

This icon is part of the Manager for the HD, for setting up RAID and so on. It comes, probably on the disk itself rather than a CD, in a .dmg file called 'WD DeviceManager' (or it did with my WD drive, yours might be slightly different) and you can remove the icon using it. I did look for the elements of this program and couldn't find it, so I doubt you can remove it manually.
