Magic Bullet Looks

Anyone have any issues with Magic Bullet Looks? I repaired my permissions and ever since, the Looks option will not show up in my Filters options. Bizarre. I know the program is installed properly. Just wondering if perhaps I need to set a permission differently for some of the files.
Red Giant told me to set all relevant files to Read and Write and that didn't do the trick.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Does Magic Bullet Looks use Apple's Installer application to place it's files on your drive? Is their a .pkg file for the software in Library/Receipts?

If not, Disk Utility's Repair Permissions function will not make any difference.

You will have to set it's permissions by hand or delete and reinstall the package.

The internet is filled with people searching for a solution for this problem and Red Giant SOftware (developer of MBL) posted this:

If you have an NVIDIA video card and have not yet updated to OSX 10.5.7, is not advised to update if you wish to continue to use Magic Bullet Looks and Quick Looks. We are continuing to learn more about this issue.

Okay, but I've updated my system already and MBL isn't working anymore!!!!

When will Apple accept that this is an Apple problem - and when will there be a solution for that???

Steve, please recover soon...

This problem was there before version 7 of FCP, then there came some FCP patches from Apple... after the last one - FCP and MBL - worked together again with absolutely no problem.

But now I've installed FCP 7 and the freezing FCP problem is back again - and unfortunately there is no solution on the Red Giant website for that!

I'm a little bit tired of each side blaming the other side... for me it's an Apple problem, because everything worked fine again until FCP version 7. Now we have the same problem as we had in the past... :-((
