Launch Daemons

Hi there--

The GoogleDesktop daemon is hogging my CPU. I've deleted the application, but can't find where the actual daemon is located. I've logged in as Root, looked in the System folder's Library, /private and it's subdirectories.

I've got to get rid of this as it's giving me the Spinning Pizza of Death regularly

Open the Activity Monitor in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, select it, choose Inspect, and look through the items under Open Files and Ports for its location. Alternatively, running the following from the Terminal may reveal its location:

locate Google

Hi--

Thanks for the quick reply - Inspected the process, but didn't see any reference to Open Files or Ports in the Activity Monitor, but the terminal command worked and I found the offending daemon and deleted it. It was in /Library/Google.
