Hi, a few months ago, i sent my ipod mini in for a repair and they sent me a new ipod mini back in return with a different serial number. I'm having this ipod mini repaired because of a battery issue, so i went to the site before and they asked for the serial number and i put the serial number of this ipod mini( which is the new ipod mini sent to me from the warranty). Is this ok? or should i have put the original ipod mini serial number that i first purchased?

No, you were correct. Go with the SN of the iPod you are having serviced.

I had the exact same problem no more than a day ago. I just rrecieved my iPod mini back and I was wondering how you got your computer to recognize your new iPod mini since your entire music library is registered under your other iPod mini (the defective one)? I would appreciate some help on this...a lot!

wait a sec...I'm confused. What is it that you do?
Assuming you kept all the music in ITunes as you where supposed to have just respecify the ipod settings in Itunes and in the Ipod an it should redownload everything for you. You could be thinking you half to authorise you mini to play Itunes music store music this is not the case, the computer your Importing from must have permission to play it but the mini does not.
Uhhh, I'm not following your question. Clarify please.

I think my iPod might need a service repair. Did you have to pay for it, or was it covered within the one year warranty? Where did you send it to? Did you need to talk a customer service line or use an online help desk first?
Thanks!
