Authentication Required

I published my website (work in progress) from iWeb 08 successfully but now when I try viewing the website, I get the following message:

*A username and password are being requested by http://www.proharpist.com. The site says: "idisk.mac.com"*

--- This is my own registered domain name so I don't understand why it's asking me for a username and password. I've tried my mobile me username/password, godaddy username/password, iTunes username/password, and even a few others but nothing works.

I'm a bit confused on what to do at this point. Can anyone help me, please???

Interesting. I clicked on your link and got the same message asking for a password. I closed the dialog box and clicked again and it linked to the site just fine. By any chance, when you created the website in iWeb did you have the "Make my published site private" box checked? You can find it in the inspector under the Site heading and Password tab. It is not supposed to work except on MobileMe, but who knows....

Thanks for checking. You're right, the first time you go to my site, it asks for a password and you can't go into the site until you close the box and try going to the site a second time.

I've checked to see if the box, "Make my published site private" but it's not.

Does anyone have any other solution to this?

I think this points to something on the server end. Check your settings on the hosting service to make sure there are no privacy settings set. Many services have pretty good phone tech support that you may wish to contact.

I have clicked on your link and it was working perfectly. Did not ask for any password.
