Some songs won't sync on an authorized computer

Ever since updating to the latest version of iTunes, I am having a terrible time with syncing my music. Some songs--even a few I've purchased in the last day--will not sync no matter what I do. I get the error message that the song won't sync because I'm not authorized to play it on "this computer." Funny thing is, the song can be playing through the computer speakers at the very moment I'm trying to sync it!! I've tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing, and nothing works. I only have one iTunes account, and only have one authorized computer, so neither one of those potential issues is the problem. Any ideas??? Apple support is NO HELP AT ALL. I am beyond frustrated with this! (BTW, I have an 80g iPod classic.)

Hi rsoswald,

Try this and see if it helps:

**1. Plug the iPod into your computer.**

**2. Wait for iTunes to open, if it does not open it anyway.**

**3. Click on the iPod icon in your Library menu.**

**4. Check on the 'iPod summary' page whether the iPod software is up-to-date.**

**4a. If not click on the update tab.**

With any luck this should help fix you problem.

Kind Regards,

Peter.
