Could someone step up and proclaim that their iPhone works with Chrysler's Uconnect (without MyGig) via Bluetooth on update 2.2 WITH contacts on their phone?
I have been regularly searching "uconnect" since 2.2 ruined connectivity, and not one user has said that 2.2 and Uconnect work via Bluetooth in their car. I will remember to mention I already did a search in my future original posts.
There are at least 6 users reporting it is broken, not one yet reporting otherwise.
I thought I could flush out ONE user for whom 2.2 actually works for them.
I'm sure you have done it but just in case, completely delete the pairing, then turn on Bluetooth on the phone first, then start pairing.
Some people used 0000 as a pin for both.
Curious, is the fix documented by Apple, Chrysler or Harmon Becker anywhere and tested? Didn't see anything about a fix other than in passing here on the discussions forum.
I'm having the exact same problems after updating to 2.2.1 as I had with 2.2. I'd like to hear if anyone else has tried since the newest iPhone update.
Well, my test perhaps wasn't completely thorough. Just updated, repaired, called myself from my wife's phone and didn't have the bluetooth drop in and out like it was previously. Only ran it for a minute or so.
I CERTAINLY hope they addressed this. Uconnect is useless otherwise.
I just brought home a new Challenger with the uconnect stereo (not MyGig GPS) and cannot get my 2.2.1 iPhone to work after pairing. It will pair them about 10 seconds later the bluetooth light goes out, then comes back on, then goes out... It never stays paired.
Your stereo will have a uconnect button on it and when you press it, it should start talking to you and offer to be set up. The uconnect button looks like a mouth with soundwaves coming out of it.
