Finding TemporaryItems Folder 10.5.6

Novice question but how can I find the folder "TemporaryItems"? I was trying to transfer a sound file from an external drive and it said it was copying the file (which was quite large) to "TemporaryItems" but I haven't been able to find it. Suggestions on where to look? I just want to delete the file.

I'm running 10.5.6 on a MacBookPro.

Thanks!

It's usually not necessary to delete temp files by hand. OS X takes care of that automatically. If you really want to do it do a finder search for TemporaryItems.
make sure to include system files in your search as they are excluded by default. to do that enter command+f in finder to start a search. in the search window click on "Kind", scroll and click on "other". in the resulting popup select "system files" and set to include.
