Comcast to Entourage to iPhone?

Hello. I got an iPhone last week. I have been trying to set up my email account to work on my iPhone. I have a Comcast emai account. I selected the "Other" option and typed in all of my information, and my iPhone accepted this. The problem is that I can send mail, but cannot receive it. I think the problem stems from the fact that I have my Comcast account already linked to Microsoft Entourage 2008, which works fine. Is there a setting I need to change or something? I already know you can sync your contacts, calendar, and notes from Entourage, but I want to receive this mail on my iPhone, too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any error message provided, or no new messages are downloaded?

Since a Comcast account is a POP account, what is your account setting with Entourage for removing messages from the server when downloaded, and do you keep Entourage launched and running actively checking the account for new messages?

Hi IrishFan5,

Are you seeing an error message or are the emails just not there?

If you can add the account without any issues, Entourage is probably removing the emails from the server. Look for an option in Entourage that will leave a copy of the message on the server as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3228

You can avoid this issue and other POP account limitations by setting up a Yahoo!, Gmail, or MobileMe account.
