Screensaver plist not there

My screensaver was not activating and I found on the discussion board that if you drag the screensaver plists to the desktop, reset the screensaver, and then restart, it should work. Well, there are no plists for the screensaver. Thoughts?

    The screensaver.plist file(s) should be in the /username/library/preferences/byhost/ folder. If there aren't any there, then go to the system preferences screensaver settings and then one should be created.
