Multiuser GUI remote access to Mac OS

Hi there,

Question:
How can I get multiple users to login on my Mac Mini Homeserver with their own desktop environments?

Problem:
I already have configured VNC Screen Sharing. But this is not useful since it is either the local user or the VNC remote user in control of the screen. There is no separate desktop environments, is it?
I have managed to get remote access with SSH from a Windows Machine. I even got X11-programs to run on the server and be displayed on the Windows client. I can start xcalc and xclock. But I do not know how to start the whole Apple Desktop thing. I tried
# quartz-wm &
and I get the error:
# can't open AppleWM server extension
I am using Xming and Putty on my Windows XP client.
I configured remote Access on my Mac OS and started X11.

I am new to Mac OS, perhaps I am missing some obvious thing?

Mac Mini Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Anyone else have success with this solution? I see slafochmed 99 is the post initiator, responder, and then issues the "atta boy!" If it works (albeit with the qualifiers stated by testplant), then great! But I don't care to be a fool and buy something from a self-promoter. Speak up if you have used the product good or bad! I don't want a VNC screen sharing solution, either. I want separate, distinct window sessions for each user. Many neglect the small, but important difference.

It would be nice way to reduce the cost of software licensing and maintenance for additional seats (desks) for others in the home.
