How Do I Extend Rings before going to Voice-Mail ?

Phone calls go to voice-mail after 3 rings. How do I change this to the maximum rings before going to voice-mail ? I have the first iPhone. Thank you.

Compaq Presario M2000 Hewlett-Packard, Windows XP, iPhone 4GB; AT and T USBconnect 881 (air card); Safari (on Compaq laptop)

There is a time setting, not a number of rings setting, which is controlled by AT&T at their servers. I believe the time setting limit is 30 seconds. You need to contact AT&T about extending the time setting for your line/account to the maximum allowed/available.

I'm not sure if its the same in the US but in the UK you can do it yourself.

Enter the following on the keypad.

*61*901*11NN# Call

NN is the time in seconds from 5 to 30 in increments of 5 seconds.
