Updating iTunes

My iTunes keeps asing me if I want to update itself to iTunes 6... Is it safe? Will I lose my songs as a result or will the songs transfer over to iTunes 6?? Please help!

you should not lose anything when updating teh version of iTunes. Howver there have been bugs so it is always best to make sure you have a bck up of your music.

copy the files to a seperate stroage device - CD/DVD/external hard drive or use iTunes back up to copy to CD/DVD

Can I just keep the old iTunes and everything sill work prefectly or will I have to update at some point? Are the bugs sorted yet?
