Airport card for Power Mac G4

Just inherited a Power Mac G4 version 2.9, 400 MHz with OS 10.2.8 and would like to hook it up to my wi-fi but it doesn't have a card. Anyone know which airport card I need?

Thanks!!!

An Airport card will obviously work but if you have space you can also buy a PCI wireless card. The trick is to get one that is Mac compatible. I have bought a couple off ebay. Just search for Airport card and you will also see PCI versions:

Here's an example from ebayUK. They are cheaper than the orginal airport card

If you get one specified for a Mac I find that they work fine. I have used 3 for different G4's with no problem. I paid a bit more to buy ones guaranteed for Mac rather than taking a risk with PC version and hoping the chip set was mac compatible. I have used them on 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5.

The advantage is that they can be faster than the original Aiport card that became very expensive after is was withdrawn.
