will I lose the album art

If I uninstall and re-install itunes 8 on my Vista computer will I lose the album art?

iTunes has been locking up on me for the past 2 weeks and I can't figure out why so my next thing is to try a re-install.

Album art is kept in artwork folder with the library files in My Documents. It should not be deleted with a re-install of iTunes. Before uninstalling de-authorize iTunes to prevent using up on of your 5 installs.

I suggest copying the entire itunes folder to somewhere else just in case though. There has been reported issues.

Thank you for the advice. I made a backup of my itunes folder (but it turns out I didn't need to).
1) I deauthorized this computer.
2) I uninstalled iTunes using ccleaner.
3) I then downloaded and reinstalled iTunes 8.
4) All my settings and album art was still there.
5) I authorized this computer again.

All is well.
