Fonts on PC look different from iWeb 08 vs. iWeb 09?

Please also take a look.

On Safari and Firefox for the Mac, the shadows behind the buttons show just fine, but on the PC (IE6 Firefox 3) the shadows for the buttons do not show on any of the pages.

I am now regretting republishing my site as it looks really bad!!

APPLE are you watching, please help!

The WELCOME! on the main page. If I do not place a shadow behind it, the PC browsers change the font to a default font and it looks nothing like it looks now on the PC.

The font for WELCOME is exactly the same except the mobileme page has no shadow behind the font, whereas the live page has a shadow... can anyone explain this?

Thank you. Any idea why yesterday the site was fine running iWeb 08, and today's site is so much different? If our corporate regulated fonts worked fine in iWeb 08 yesterday, why wouldn't they look exactly the same in 09 today. That is my problem right now.

Thank you for the feedback, but there is something wrong with the 09 build I think.

Note how different the fonts are on even the main page. The whole site under iWeb 08 is listed under that TEST folder. The links will revert to the main site, just add the TEST folder in there, or browse through the test folder 🙂

Again this is looking at the PC IE6 or Firefox 3. IE7 looks a lot better.

What does the shape-with-text do to the font?

I created shadows with a 1% opacity as suggested. Looks better, but my concern is page loading times since all are images. Any advice. Really I think this is a bug on Apple's part, as the new build of iWeb seems to not support IE6 and firefox as nicely as before..

I think I may revert back to iweb 08 as well 😟
