Creating a Pages Newsletter and embedding into the body of an email???

The only way to do what you are asking about is to create an html email. This is possible and assuming you are using Leopard, you can use Mail to do this. Start a new email and select the Stationary button that by default is on the right corner of the new email message window.

Pages cannot be used to create html code and the only way to use Pages to create your newsletter would be to create a PDF and attach it. The other possible option would be to send your email with a link to a webpage. You could experiment with using the Share to iWeb function and see if this could work for you. (Since I swore off - not to mention at - iWeb some time ago I don't know how well this would work.)

One problem with this is that a lot of people turn off html in the preferences of their email client, so your message would appear as html code, which is darned hard to read.

I don't use browser based email, so I'm not sure what happens there.

You could do what a lot of commercial catalog people do, which is print your Pages newsletter to pdf and use the facility under the pdf button to then take that into either Preview or iPhoto where you can trun it into an appropriate bitmap.

The bitmap usually will appear in the body of the email, but people do use a lot of old, useless and outdated software so inevitably some will see the files as attachments.

I've found a sort of round about way to do this, but it requires gmail and google docs, which you may not want to use for a business

1. Save pages document as PDF
2. save PDF as highest quality jpeg
3. go to google documents
4. Create a new document
5 Insert the jpeg image you just saved
6. Type something in the line right below the jpeg (I just do published date)
7. Copy and paste the jpeg and text into the compose screen of a new email in gmail.
8, Forward to myself at my .mac email
9. Send to recipients = it isn't HTML quite, but it does show as an embedded image.
