That can be done, but you would need:
Pads plugged into a 'Brain' or designated Module such as an Alesis D4 or DM5 for example. This controls the responsiveness of your pads and then in turn, converts those signals into MIDI notes
MIDI Interface - USB or Firewire so your Mac can communicate with the Drum Module
From there, you can record and edit that incoming MIDI information in Logic
You can assign Drum Kits in Logic to create any sounds you like. Then a Plug-in such as Superior Drummer 2.0 takes things to a whole other level! 🙂
