Is there a way to find all 'Unknown Faces'?

Instead of going through all my, soon to be 20000, photos, I would like to just find the Unknown Faces.

Is this possible?

I'm having the same problem here... I thought I could do it with a "smart album" but couldn't find any rule that would make it.
Is there any way to use wildcards like "" or * ???

BTW, "Faces" is just great !!! With one smart album I'm able to find a picture where 4 different family members appear... I would never had searched for it manually, this way it appears in 5 seconds !!!

Try this
make a smart albumn
choose "Name" in first field
Then "contains"
The leave it blank

anywhere that it finds a name that is empty it sorts it to the smart folder and you then can go thru them that way
Please note that some photos have more than one face and even if one face is named and the others are not it still finds it and sorts it to the smart album
so whos a smart Kiwi

I've been wondering the same thing... this is an important feature lacked and something thats extremely helpful for those with numbers of pictures in the tens of thousands. A blank "contains name" brings up all tagged pics and "does not contain" brings up all pics with unknown faces or no tagged faces at all. Still unhelpful when you have to sift through large numbers of pictures untagged because there are no people or faces.

I really hate that this "work-flow" is not part of iPhoto - as it is in Google's Picasa. I was really disapointed to find this out. Another thing is that Picasa actually groups similar pictures while showing unknown, to smooth the tagging and reducing keystrokes and mouse-use to a minimum.

The best solution I've had is to:

1. create a smart album:
a. match any
b. name contains a
c. name contains e
... (etc for all vocals)
2. add a keyword you don't use (XXX) and assign a shortcut-key to it
3. create another smart album:
a. keywords does not contain XXX
4. select all images in smart album 1.
5. tag all of them using the keyword you created in 2
6. have a look at images in smart album 2

two major draw-backs:
1. only images with ONLY unknown faces are shown
2. images WITHOUT any faces are also shown (could be handy though to actually add images not detected, but should definitely be part of another work-flow, and thus not mixed in this one)
