Internal HD Bay Difference?

i have a dual gig MDD that i use for music production (Digital Performer on Tiger). right now i have the stock 80GB HD in the back bay running the OS, and i'd like to install a 160GB HD for the media. my question is, which bay should i install the media drive in? is there a difference between the front bay and back bay behind the scenes?

just found on posts from years past that the front bay is 66 and the back bay is 100...so the back bay would be slightly better...but it doesn't' really matter because the difference is so slight.

That's correct. I like to keep the drive with my boot partitions on the ATA100 bus. Even if the speed advantage is slight, it makes sense to me to throw it at the drive feeding all the systemsystem processes.
