I'm having a problem. When I try to upload photos to Facebook I get the "Set Up" window. I log in to my account and once it is on it tells me to close the window and go back to the application, but then it will ask me again to "Set Up" the account. It will continue doing this forever. Any thoughts?
Yes, exactly. If it hit cancel, the Facebook page appears in the window. I can't really do much with that page, because only part of it appears in the window, and with no scrollbars.
When I hit close, the initial login sheet immediately reappears. Back to square one.
One thing I've noticed about Facebook, is that no matter if I check, or don't check, the "Keep Me Logged In To The iPhoto Uploader" tick box, it does not remember me. It won't stay ticked, and it won't save the password. It moves to the "You may close this window" and then when you close it, you're back at the setup / cancel menu. The password is correctly entered.
I also originally had a special character in my facebook password. I tried changing to an entirely alphanumeric password, and this had no effect.
I'm starting to feel as though this might me some sort of a saving permissions issue with iPhoto. As though iPhoto is unable to save the information, wherever it needs to be saved. For giggles, I tried chmod 777 on the iphoto plist file in the library to no avail.
Basically your Keychain is broke. Go to Utilities/Keychain Access and run Keychain First Aid (it's in the Keychain Access menu). Verify then repair. It cleared my problem right up!
I was having a similar problem where I got past the loop and it would tell me it was uploading the photos, the albums would show up on facebook, but no photos. So I tried the keychain first aid, and now I am getting the loop.
I tried resetting my keychain, and the loop problem has gone away, but now I am back to getting "an error occurred with the publication of the album "album name" Then it prompts me to either keep or remove the album.
It seems that when the photo's name or album's name has and & or other symbol Facebook gives you an error. If you have any symbols in the name try removing it and upload them again.
i seem to have a different problem, i cant even log in using the FB exporter plug in. All i get when i press the login button is this error message: There was a problem connecting with Facebook. Check your Internet connection and try again.
but my conection is just fine, and on top of that when i try to upload from my desktop G5 it just works fine, but not on my MBP 2.66Ghz intel core duo!!!
