Is it possible to keep Dashboard open?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to keep the Dashboard open while working in other applications? If so, please instruct. Thanks.

Hi. Welcome to the Apple Discussions.

The DevMode Widget will enable you to do this. Just turn on Developer Mode from the Widget.

To bring it out of the Dashboard, follow these instructions (the widgets will stay in front of ALL other windows):
1. Make sure the DevMode widget show the green 'On' icon
2. Press the Dashboard activation key (F12 by default)
3. Click and hold the primary mouse button on any widget you have open in the dashboard layer
4. Press the Dashboard activation key again while still holding that mouse button
5. Now you may release the mouse button and the widget will stay on the desktop

If you don't want to use the DevMode Widget, you can also enable developer mode from the Terminal using this command: *defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES*

No problem. I used to use it when I had a nice big monitor, but not that i have a laptop, the resolution isn't big enough to give me the screen space for the widgets to stay out of the say.

Enjoy!
