2.2ghz vs 2.4ghz

hello is there a big speed difference in the 2.2ghz macbook pro vs the 2.4ghz macbook pro i was told by someone who tested the 2.5ghz and the 2.6 ghz side by side and that there was no real difference.

macbook pro 2.8GHz 4GB Ram, Mac OS X (10.5.5), new

Technically, there is a 0.2 GHz difference. 😉

In 'real world' terms, that's not much of a difference. Benchmark tests will pick it up, but in routine use you probably would not notice. Doing something processor intensive like encoding a video will be slightly faster (I'm guesstimating, but something that would take an hour on a 2.2 GHz machine might take 55 minutes on a 2.4 GHz machine, all else being equal).
