when I try to purchase an app., I am told to update my billing info. I have, and I still can't download anything. Any help? I want to throw my phone out the window.

    I've got the same problem - I can access the app store and itunes and can type in my login information to download the apps and songs. However, when it takes me to the main screen, the apps won't download - they just sit on the home screen with a blank loading bar. I can download them through my computer and synch them, but they just won't download over 3g/wireless.

    There are several possible causes.
    First, have you tried the basic steps, such as resetting the iPhone by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo?

    Are both iTunes and your iPhone Software up-to-date?
    You can update iTunes via the "Check for Updates" link in the Help Menu.
    You can update your iPhone to the current version of 2.2.1 from the Summary Tab for your iPhone in iTunes. Many of today's APPs require at least version 2.2 to install.
