Bluetooth handset not working after upgrading to 2.2.1

try to put the volume of headset at minimum level without pairing. then pairing and use the volume from iphone (always). do not use volume of headset. this a work around

Same problem here! bad thing that they release an update that creates problems.

Resolved!!! I did a restore and is working already.

Same problem here- bluetooth headsets not working after 2.2.1 upgrade. Restore fixed it.

i have always stuttering problems. sometimes on the other end hear me well. sometimes not. restore not fixed it. any suggestions ?

I´m new to iPhone and this forum

I am having the same problem with my iPhone but I don´t know if it´s related with 2.2.1. firmware since that came on the iphone right away when I bought it.

I can connect to handfree set and pair up fine, but no sound what so ever is passed to or from the handsfree set. The handsfree set works fine with other phones.

I tryed restore but it didn´t help.
I restored the iphone with itunes, the function "If you are experiencing problems ...." hit the button "Restore" e.g.:

After that it told me to "set up my iphone" and I chose "restore from the backup of" e.g.:

The links are not from my procedure, just something I found on the internet to describe what went on 🙂

Did anyone find a solution for this problem?

How often do Apple make new firmware upgrades? (hoping that will help)

i try this work around;

if the iphone usere respring the iphone it causes problem to bluetooth profile.
then if you do a soft reset ( sleep +home until apple logo appears) . the bluetooth headset begin to work correctly

Hello again.
I had my iphone replaced. The new one connects fine and sound is good. To keep settings I "restored from backup" and the problem with bluetooth wasn´t transferred.

I restored via iTunes and hard and soft resets, still refuses to work. The headset was working fine for a while, then it stopped. In the bluetooth setting area it appears to be paired with the headset but the wheel just keeps spinning.

Are there reports of the actual bluetooth section of the phone being faulty, because I can't see what else it can be really.
