Horizontal scrolling text

Hi,

I am just wondering if it is possible in iMovie to add scrolling text to a portion of video. I would like to recreate the effect that you seen during a news broadcast, with scrolling news items moving across the screen while someone is talking. I don't want the text to scroll upwards as in final credits, as this would distract too much from the person on camera.
