HELP! I know this may not be a brand new topic, but nothing I've read has helped me. I loaded a program on my IMac last night and left the disk in until this morning. The disk has refused to eject although I've been trying all day i.e., turned the machine on its side, tried inserting various narrow objects to try to grab the disk - all to no avail. I can hear it trying, but I'm guessing either the disk or the drive itself has gotten bent. I would appreciate suggestions that will fix the problem! Thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5)

    Hi,

If you haven't tried it yet, after pressing the power button, hold down the mouse button while the iMac starts up.

I may be wrong, but it sounds to me like you have a later model iMac (G5/Intel). This forum is for the iMac with the moveable arm and spherical base. If your model is not this, you might be able to find better help in those forums.

    Best of luck,
