logon to macbook pro

I can't logon to my mac book pro. I can see it in the finder window on my mac pro but can not get to any files. The mac book pro hooks up wireless to an airport extreme. File sharing is turned on on both and share the hard drive on both. What am i missing?

What are the permissions on your MacBook Pro's hard drive?

The permissions are read write for admistrator and next one down also but read only for everyone else. The macbook pro shows up in the shared list in finder on my mac pro but i just can't connect to it. My mac pro is wire internet connection and the macbook pro is wireless if that would have anything to do with it but it should not as both computers use the same airport extreme.
