Log and Capture window won't close???

Hi,

I just starting shooting HDV footage.

When I import my footage the log and capture window sometimes won't close??? This never happened when I imported DV footage. I try to close it by clicking on the small red X circle, I try to close it by the keyboard "command & 8" I just keep getting a chime sound. I can't do anything else with the project but force quit.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Also when I capture my footage at the end of the tape the window that pops up...... always says Timecode break capture was aborted but the footage was captured???

CMD+8 is the command to bring UP the Log and Capture window. Instead try CMD+W for Close Window.

Secondly, just ignore that warning. It has to do with reaching the end of a tape. If your footage is there, then great. However, If you routinely capture to the end of tapes, then you run the risk of issues if you ever need to batch recapture your clips. Just an FYI.

OK that's what I have been doing....just ignore the warning because the footage is their. But I was wondering if I am doing something wrong with this new HD workflow?

As for closing the window I did not try CMD+W. I always use CMD+8 to open and close the log and capture window. After that not working I was clicking on the red X many times and kept getting a chime.
