calendar and tickler file for the iPhone

I am trying to use a system David Allen has written a book about called Getting Things Done (GTD). With GTD, David recommends using both a calendar and a tickler file. I'd like to have both the calendar reminders and the tickler available via electronic form. I'd also like to be able to have items appear on the calendar via a specially formatted email as opposed to manual entry.

Is there any way to do this?
