I've been having major problems with my PowerBook G4 (12", 1.33 Ghz, 1.25 GB RAM, 60 GB HB, Tiger). I just ran the Apple hardware test again. It said that there is a Video RAM Error Detected. Here's the Error Code - 2NYD/1/4: 2086
Does that make any sense to anyone?
Thanks!
Well, I guess I'll part it out. Either that or - can that video RAM chip be purchased somewhere reasonably? I'd try soldering it on the board if I could find a good one.
Thanks again!
The schematics of the logicboard are not available in the public domain as far as I know. So soldering it by hand would be a task only someone with the right schematics of the chip circuitry could do. That's beyond most anyone except the Apple design team's capability.
