"Lockdown" folder in ~/Library?

I just noticed there's a folder entitled "Lockdown" in my user Library. Inside is a .plist file with a long alphanumeric expression before the period. Does anybody know what this is? It's on one of my machines, but not the other.

Thanks!

It has to do with your mobile devices — iPod or iPhone. I believe it's generated when you first sync your device with your computer, so it would only be resident on the computer(s) that you use to sync to your iPod or iPhone.

Unless you are having issues with your computer not recognizing your devices, you should leave it alone. If you are having trouble, see this article:

I came to this thread having just discovered a Lockdown folder in the /Library folder of my iMac. It was created tonight at 7:43pm. This the computer I have used for a long time to sync iPod Touchs and a number of AppleTVs. This folder has never existed before tonight. What's interesting to me is that at that time, I had just stumbled on the 'check network' function on one of the Apple TVs, and I ran it to see the results. I think the result is this folder...
