2.2.1 "Cannot Open Page: Safari cannot open the page because...."

2.2.1 "Cannot Open Page: Safari cannot open the page because...."

"Cannot Open Page: Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found"

After restoring, following this update, I get this message on edge and 3G almost every time I head to a page in Safari. I also get "cannot connect to server" errors in email.

Never had a single connectivity issue prior to the 2.2.1 update. Anyone have any ideas?

yeah, tried reset, restore, network settings, etc... a fix hasn't been posted. that link that you're posting doesn't lead to a solution (for some, anyway)

Hey miller5280,

Try clicking Check for Updates on the iPhone Summary page in iTunes. Then install any available carrier updates.

Jason,

Thanks! I followed your link and, what do you know, it said I needed a carrier update and only gave the option to "download and install." I did it, and it seems to have worked after surfing around for a few minutes. I'm going to mark this as answered and will let anyone know I've jumped the gun here.

Tiny little 2 second download & install.

Thanks! I wasn't aware of the carrier updates, since the "normal" update check was saying I was up-to-date.
