Anyone have any advice?
I am trying to install my Ipod for the first time unto my laptop. I have a USB 2.0 card. Every time I plug the Ipod into the computer. A blue screen with a Fatal Error message occurs and the computer restarts. How can this be fixed? Is there something wronf with my computer or is it with the Ipod. The Ipod is brand new

I'm having the same exact problem with my brand new 20GB Ipod photo. Every time I plug it in, the computer restarts, then I get an "Windows has recovered from a serious error" message.
Anyone have any advice?
Anyone have any advice?
I recently purchased a 20GB iPod Photo and my PC crashed the day after I installed the lastest version of iTunes, iPod software and iTrip software (obviously I'm not sure if installing the iPod software has anything to do with my computer crashing). I got a blue screen with a fatal error and I haven't been able to get my machine to boot up (in safe mode or otherwise), or restore to the latest settings that worked.
I am also having this problem and I could even use my Ipod 20G because when my computer shut down, my Ipod got corrupted I did not work anymore. I took it to the apple service center and I still don'thave it back. Can anyone help us because I am afraid to plug it again and have the problem.
I found that i had this problem when i didnt have alot of cache left on my computer. after i cleared useless disc usage (files, browser history, programs, recyling bin &c.) Basicly making sure i have significant free RAM and HDD space. i have since had no issue like that.
