How can I copy contents of a flash drive onto my iMac?

I wanted to copy the contents of a flash drive onto my iMac (Keynote and Pages files). I right clicked on the drive from the desktop and clicked "copy" but nothing seemed to happen.
Is there a quick and easy way to copy my flash contents onto my computer?

Mulder, this is sooo easy. Just drag the files from the flash drive to your desktop (or wherever you want them to be).

NO right clicking, nothing. Just drag them.

They will automatically be copied, leaving the original versions on the flash drive.

End of story.

I don't think right clicking the drive is going to do what you want.

Here's what I would do.

Have 2 Finder windows open, one with your Documents, the other with the contents of the flash drive.

Select all the items on the flash drive. I would use the Command+A keys.
Copy those items; I would use the Command+C keys.
Use Command+V to paste the items in your Documents folder.

Hope this helps!

Hi

Double click on your flash drive so as to view the contents. Now right click on the files you are interested in. Select Copy, Select the Go menu and select Desktop and select Paste from the Edit Menu. Or select your Home folder icon from the Go menu, double click on the Documents icon to open it and select Paste from the Edit Menu.

You can do the same from the Finder to navigate to where you want to paste the files.
