Upgrading RAM by yourself possible?

I wanted to know if it is possible to upgrade the RAM by yourself, cause I would order the 4 GB MBP and upgrade it myself to 8 GB when the RAM is cheaper, maybe in one year or so.

Does anyone know?

Yes, it's possible, and relatively easy. Only the 17" can use 8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB) - the max for the 15" is 6 GB (2 GB + 4 GB).

Hello,

thank you for your fast reply.

I thought that a screwdriver and removing the backplate of the MBP 17" would be enough to get an access to the RAM modules, then exchanging then is really not difficult.
Hopefully it doesnt affect the warranty ...
