Feb 24, 2012 8:43 AM in response to Kate Retzby MightyJoel,Ditto on the problem. So obnoxious. Spent about an hour with a senior Apple advisor today and he basically said wait for an update. He's going to escalate me to the iTunes team though. Noticed that the iPad remote app doesn't do it unless you try to open radio from the iPad. For whatever reason the iPhone automatically kicks up the radio. Also I realized this problem became a reality when I updated to iTunes 10.5.3. Before that it never happened.

Feb 24, 2012 9:42 AM in response to Kate Retzby Desertsky,I saw a suggestion of disabling the radio under parental controls (preferences, parental controls, disable radio. Close out of iTunes and restart) and this seems to be a work around solution for now.

Feb 24, 2012 1:12 PM in response to Desertskyby Walter Wedler,Same over here:
"An error occurred while contacting the radio tuning service.
Check your Internet connection, or try again later."Worked fine till yesterday. No changes.

Feb 25, 2012 3:44 AM in response to Kate Retzby mikeinrichmond,Here's what worked for me:
iTunes - Preferences - Advanced, then click the 'Reset iTunes Store Cache' button. Close itunes then restart it. The radio stations then worked properly again. Hope this helps..

Feb 25, 2012 5:14 AM in response to mikeinrichmondby AnnieDN,I tried Mike in Richomond's suggestion and it seemed to work at first, but it only updated one genre. the rest would still generate the error....but that was happening to me last night before i reset the cache, so i suspect that is not the fix....

Feb 25, 2012 5:39 PM in response to Kate Retzby frankmichael,What i did is close iTunes, then right click, select Get Info, and select open in 32bit, this worked.
It also worked for another program that was running the same sort of error. Must be a 64bit issue.
Hope this helps.

Feb 27, 2012 1:56 PM in response to Kate Retzby Zechto,I found a way to fix this which worked for me. I went to desktop right clicked on iTunes then properties and went into the compatability mode for my OS (Win7) this made it work fine. No issues with radio or with iPhone sync.

Feb 28, 2012 8:07 AM in response to Kate Retzby MoLove,Hello?! Anybody from Apple with a solution to this?! This has been happening for a few days now. I have not made any changes to my system and I'm definitely online. What's going on with the radio service?
