Best Laptop Bag?

Hi, I haven't posted in a while and I'm sure this gets asked a lot but while searching through past posts I wasn't able to come upon anything too up to date. My home was recently robbed and of course most of what the robbers took were my apple products and accessories. I am in the process of getting new stuff, as well as a security system, but the one thing that really ****** me off was the fact that they stole my backpack for school. It was an Incase Sling bag that held my macbook pro, back up hard drives and power adapter. I really liked that bag as far as the size, but I have never been a fan of sling bags because of the uneven amount of pressure they deliver to one of your shoulders. I was at one point contemplating getting the Incase Nylon Slim Backack because it was very similar in size as far as the compartments of the bag are concerned, and it evened the pressure between both shoulders with two straps like a traditional book bag. Anyway, I went to Incase's site and apparently they stopped selling that bag, which leaves me with no idea on what bag to get next. I want something stylish but is thin and not too heavy, but will allow me to carry around my new laptop, some magazines or a small 3 ring binder, my power adapter, and maybe some compartments for a wireless mouse, pens, and a keyring holder. I'm familiar with STM and Timbuk and most of the brands offered on the apple store, but haven't found anything I like, and the Incase Nylon Bag offered on the Apple Store site is way too big for everyday use. SO my question is this, where can I find a bag that is similar to the Incase Slim Nylon Backpack, has as much simplicity and style, and won't break my wallet in this trying time?

With great appreciation,

- Chris

Chris,

Sorry to hear about your loss. You did not mention what your budget is but you may want to check out the Booq line of Mac bags. Granted, their top of the line bags are expensive but they do have others that are more reasonably priced. Also check out the "Terralinq" feature if you visit their web site. Here is the link: http://www.booqbags.com/All-Products

Well thank you both for trying to give me some direction. Unfortunately both bags didn't seem to fit my taste. Booq is actually now sold from the apple online store and the mac case looks nice, but i feel will be too large. The idea was to get a bag that would hold everything I'd need through a day of school, but not be as large as the Incase backpack that could really hold two laptops if you needed to. I did some more research though and came upon one solid option, the Metrolite backpack from Brenthaven, which is now also apparently sold from the apple online store. hah! I looked at a few foreign companies, as well as a few skate companies and though they had some more stylized bags, all had one or more cons I just couldn't get over. I did like the look of the logiteck Kinetik backpack, but again it was a little large, and had some bad reviews as far as the wear and tear of it's exoskeleton. So I solved my own question, Brenthaven's MetroLite Backpack is the best slim backpack in the $50-200 dollar range I was willing to spend to get a solid everyday bag for my replacement macbook pro 15 inch. If anyone has any other bags to take a look let me know, for now I'm going to mark this question as unanswered so that other people will have some ideas to look at if they are in the same situation as me and searching for a slim laptop backpack.
