Adding a Pioneer DVR-160D-BK as a second superdrive

Just bought a Pioneer DVR-116D-BK [Black Bezel] as a second 'SuperDrive' for my new MacPro and I have some doubts as to what it has to be done to the front door of the drive.

Is the front door of the drive suppose to be taken away????

Also, I did notice while mounting the second superdrive, that the driver with which the MacPro is shipped lacks a botton with which one can open the tray from the outside...

please I would appreciate if anyone can enlight me if I am suppose to remove the front door of the driver and also if the botton thing also has to be removed...
