some pictures not visible in iphoto09library unless i double click on them

Ever since I loaded iphoto 09, my iphoto library is there but several pictures are not visible in the library and only a blank frame is visible. When I double click it, I see the picture but it is still not seen in the library. Other pictures are fine. Confused
