Feb 11, 2009 6:56 AM in response to Worm_Buffetby DRAGONGUY83,★HelpfulHI, I had to deal with it myself. you have to call apple and link it to an ipod or iphone. you have to be carefull that they send you the new in ear set and not the old like what happened to me. I am currently waiting on the correct pair. good luck -
Feb 11, 2009 7:21 AM in response to DRAGONGUY83by Worm_Buffet,So I just specify that it's the new in-ear headphones in the support request?
How did you get around the issue that the amount they would charge you in case you don't return the defective product would be far too low, as it would be the amount for the old headphones?
I'm sure Apple aren't too happy about that? -
Feb 11, 2009 7:27 AM in response to Worm_Buffetby DRAGONGUY83,★HelpfulYeah make sure that they send the right ones. Im waiting on mine now and i have a feeling that they might send the wrong one again. About the prices. i guess that is the price they think is fair for broken set. Ill post back if i get the wrong ones. they should be here in an hour but i have to leave for work soon. -
Feb 16, 2009 5:38 AM in response to DRAGONGUY83by Worm_Buffet,Any updates? Did it work out?
I will try to return my headphones soon, and it would very much be a hassle if they sent the wrong ones as the replacement. -
Feb 25, 2009 11:07 PM in response to Worm_Buffetby Corporalclegg24,Bump....
Same problem. Went to apple store, employee said that because I bought them online I have to use the online service to repair. No form for the new in-ear headphones. Gotta call someone? Update? -
Feb 26, 2009 2:06 AM in response to Corporalclegg24by Worm_Buffet,I ended up going to the only Apple store here in Zurich, Switzerland to avoid the hassle of the online repair. They gave me new headphones immediately after confirming that they were broken. -
Mar 11, 2009 9:47 AM in response to Worm_Buffetby Ian Wish,I also bought mine online just after release. I just went down the the Apple Store here in Vancouver and I was the first to return a set... they didn't even have any in stock in the store.
They used my iPhone serial to do the paperwork then set them off. Took 5 days but I eventually got a new pair.
FYI - 2 weeks in and the left phone just stopped working... 4 weeks of use and 2 sets of phones?? I'm getting a refund. -
